Year 10 Scholarships · 2027–2028
Entry in September 2027
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS · 2027–2028
The Year 10 Scholarship offers academically ambitious pupils the opportunity to join Charterhouse Almaty at an important point in their education, as they begin the next stage of their academic journey towards GCSE and, ultimately, A-level qualifications. A limited number of Scholarships will be awarded for entry in September 2027, following a competitive selection process.
We are looking for students who have already demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and who demonstrate the curiosity, independence of thought and determination to go further. The Year 10 Scholarship recognises pupils who are ready to challenge themselves, engage with ideas beyond the classroom and make the most of the outstanding academic opportunities available at Charterhouse Almaty.
Successful candidates will be recognised as Charterhouse Almaty Academic Scholars, have their names permanently engraved in Scholars’ Court, and become members of the school’s Academic Scholarship Programme. Through academic enrichment, intellectual challenge, individual guidance, lectures, competitions and opportunities beyond the curriculum, Academic Scholars will be encouraged to develop their strengths and pursue their interests in greater depth.
As Academic Scholars, pupils will also be expected to contribute positively to the intellectual life of the school, set ambitious standards for themselves and demonstrate the commitment and curiosity that the award of a Scholarship represents.
